NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES AND D.C., AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED. “My Cup of Country” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) sponsored by Sunbeam Products, Inc. d/b/a Jarden Consumer Solutions (“Sponsor”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are 21 years of age or older (see further restrictions in Rule 4 below). Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on 6/01/08 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on 8/31/08 (“Promotion Period”).
1) HOW TO ENTER: Go to the www.mycupofcountry.com (“Web Site”) during the Promotion Period and follow the on-screen instructions to enter the Sweepstakes. Online entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 8/31/08. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address. Multiple e-mail address accounts used for entry by a single entrant will not qualify for entry and may invalidate ALL entries submitted by that entrant for the entire Promotion Period. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. Incomplete entries are void.
2) SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING: A random drawing will be held on or about 9/14/08 from all eligible Sweepstakes entries received to award Sweepstakes prizes. The random drawing will be held under the supervision of Promotion Activators, Inc., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
3) PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: One (1) Grand Prize: a 3-day/2-night trip for two (2) to Nashville, TN to attend the CMA Awards on November 12, 2008. Grand Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation for the winner and winner’s guest from the major airport nearest winner’s residence to Nashville, TN, two (2) nights’ standard hotel accommodations (single room, double occupancy), two (2) tickets to the 2008 CMA Awards show, and $600 cash, one (1) Mr. Coffee® coffee maker and a 2-pack of Mr. Coffee® premium coffee. Approximate retail value (“ARV”): $2,561.97 The actual value may vary based on winner's point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Any difference between the estimated value and the actual value will not be awarded. All other expenses on the receipt and use of the prize not specifically mentioned herein, including but not limited to tips, gratuities, ground transportation, all meals and beverages, and other miscellaneous expenses, are solely the responsibility of winner and winner’s guest. Winner and winner’s guest must be available to travel on November 11, 2008 through November 13, 2008 or prize is forfeited. No alternate travel dates are available. All travel subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport or other transportation terminal (or other types of transportation) restrictions and regulations.
Other restrictions may apply. Sponsor is not responsible for cancelled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events (including airline flights beyond its control). Winner and guest are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary identification (e.g., a valid U.S. driver’s license) required to travel. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary. If guest is considered a minor in his/her state of residence, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian who must be the winner. Guest has no independent right or claim to any prize. Any portion of a prize not accepted by winner or winner’s guest will be forfeited. Fifty (50) First Prizes: First Prize consists of one (1) Mr. Coffee® coffee maker and a 2-pack of Mr. Coffee® premium coffee. ARV: $61.97 each. Total ARV of all prizes: $5,660.47. Any applicable tax on a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. No barter, transfer, substitution or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion in the event that the stated prize becomes unavailable. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for the drawing. Limit one (1) prize per person.
4) ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising, promotion and judging agencies and the immediate family members (parent, child, spouse, and sibling) and persons living in the households of each are not eligible to enter.
5) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by overnight delivery service and must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability/Publicity release (where permitted) within fourteen (14) days from the date on the written prize notification letter or prize will be forfeited. Failure to comply with these requirements for any reason, or return of the prize notification letter as undeliverable or refused, will result in forfeiture of prize. Guest of winner (or guest’s parent/legal guardians if guest is considered a minor in their state of residence) will also be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release within the time stated above and must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian who must be the winner. First Prizes will be shipped by U.S. mail within 4-6 weeks after drawing date. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its related companies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents including Promotion Activators, Inc. from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize won, including any travel related thereto.
6) INTERNET: The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the participant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor will award the prize listed above in a random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
7) WHO WON: To receive the names of the winners by mail, please mail a self addressed stamped envelope (for receipt by 11/14/08) to: “My Cup of Country” Sweepstakes Winners, 1851 Elmdale, Glenview, IL 60026. Winner lists will be sent once all winners have been verified.
